Charcoal on Paper
I did this during a drawing class in college somewhere between 2003-2005. This was one of my first attempts at mixing drawing and painting. I used a large piece of paper, and then painted the background with acrylic. I then drew a falling angel with black and white charcoal. Then I painted on top of the drawing, and drew on top of the paint.
It was very interesting to see how the charcoal and paint could mix together so well. But the paper was too delicate to be painted that much. I learned from this experience that if I want to add paint to my drawings, I really need to work on canvas.
